Serve as subject matter expert and primary advisor within a college or an academic related or business unit on matters related to sponsored research program administration in accordance with Institute financial policies. Plan, manage, and perform associated financial support in the areas of budgets, accounting, reporting and grant and contract administration. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance, providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. This position will interact on a regular basis with: faculty and staff. This position typically will advise and counsel faculty and staff. This position will supervise assigned staff.
This job requires professional knowledge of financial/accounting principles and practices as applied in sponsored research environment. Working knowledge of proposal development and related regulatory requirements is required as is use of office and spreadsheet related computer applications and specialized applications and databases related to grants and contract administration. Also required are skills in planning, attention to detail, problem solving, and communications.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Three to five years job related experience
Certified Research Administrator, Certified Pre-Award Research Administrator, or Certified Financial Research AdministratorSupervisory experience preferred.
