Ali Vatankhah Barenji is currently working with Prof. Benoit Montreuil as a Sr. Research Scientist in the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering, at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Before joining Georgia Tech. He has served as a lecturer in the Mechatronic Engineering Department at Kennesaw State University. He was also a visiting researcher at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a postdoc fellow in the Guangdong University of Technology.

Dr. Barenji's research is mainly focused on Smart Manufacturing, Cloud Manufacturing, and Blockchain Technology. He has taught both undergraduate and graduate-level courses and supervised five bachelors, three masters, and a Ph.D. student. He has published more than 35 articles in international journals and International Conference Proceedings Series.
