Martin Zubeldia is a Tennenbaum President's Postdoctoral Fellow in the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, working in the research group of Siva Theja Maguluri. His research primarily focuses on using applied probability for the modeling, analysis, and control of large-scale stochastic decision systems, inspired by applications in computer networks, and other service and learning systems. He is particularly interested in exploring the fundamental tradeoffs between performance and efficiency that arise in these systems, with a special emphasis on the role that information plays in these tradeoffs. He was a finalist for the 2019 INFORMS APS Best Student Paper Award, and for the 2016 INFORMS George E. Nicholson Student Paper Competition. Starting in Fall 2022 he will be an Assistant Professor in the Industrial and Systems Engineering department (ISyE) at the University of Minnesota, Twin-Cities.
