About

Parisa Yousefi Zowj is a Lecturer in the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech. She received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Statistics from Iran in 2005 and 2008, respectively, and a Master’s degree in Applied Statistics from ISyE, Georgia Tech in 2017. She is currently pursuing a PhD degree in Bioinformatics at Georgia Tech.

Her research interests focus on developing multiresolution analytical tools including Wavelets and Autocorrelation Shells for signal and image processing with applications in medical decision making. She has also been working on Bayesian methods for modeling genetic consequences of the transatlantic slave trade. She is an ISyE Teaching Fellow.
