Thinh Doan is a TRIAD (the Transdisciplinary Research Institute for Advancing Data Science) postdoctoral fellow at the Georgia Institute of Technology, working with Professors Justin Romberg and Siva Theja Maguluri. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in ECE at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagin in 2018. Before that, he got his bachelor degree and master degree, both in ECE, at Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2008 and at the University of Oklahoma in 2011, respectively.

His research interests span the intersection of control theory, optimization, and applied probability theory, with the current focus on the performance of distributed algorithms for machine learning and reinforcement learning.
