On September 28, Ann Dunkin delivered the 2023 LeeAnn and Walter Muller Distinguished Lecture. Dunkin currently serves as Chief Information Officer at the U.S. Department of Energy, and gave the following presentation: “Modeling for Energy Resilience: How DOE uses simulation to model and manage everything from the power grid to the strategic petroleum reserve.”
Dunkin's career is a testament to her unwavering commitment to technological progress and innovation. Prior to her current role, she served as the Chief Information Officer of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and held key positions at Dell Technologies, the County of Santa Clara, CA, Palo Alto Unified School District, and Hewlett Packard.
She is also a published author, a sought-after speaker, and a recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the 2022 Capital CIO Large Enterprise ORBIE Award. Her accolades include recognition as one of DC's Top 50 Women in Technology and inclusion in ComputerWorld's Premier 100 Technology Leaders.
