Q: Where did you study, or specialize in?
I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a BS in Psychology and a Minor in Criminal Justice Studies.
Q: What is your previous experience in your field?
Throughout my career, I have focused on building relationships with internal and external partnerships through engagement opportunities and experiential pathways. I have also been lucky enough to recruit, onboard and manage some of the best talent in the nation. I enjoy and have continued to encourage collaboration and forward movement in every position I have held. Building programs, events, resources, and partnerships excite me!
Roles/Workplace: Director of Member Engagement @ Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, Director of Member Experience @ ClubCorp, Recruiter @ AppFolio
Awards: Lifetime Achievement Award by ACCE
Q: What factors influenced your decision to pursue employment at Georgia Tech?
A: Growing up in Metro Atlanta, Georgia Tech was a name and reputation I knew well. After connecting with Ann Blasick and further walking through my potential role, I knew this team and this opportunity was the right fit for me. I was (and still am!) excited about playing a pivotal role in influencing how thousands of OMSA & MSA students transition into dynamic positions to further develop themselves (and others) as leaders who will then advance technology and improve the human condition.
Q: Outside of work, what hobbies or activities do you enjoy that might influence or complement your approach to life?
A: Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in the sun with my husband, toddler and two dogs! We can often be spotted at nearby parks, breweries, and playgrounds. I love researching interior design/decorating and enjoy watching documentaries. When I have time to read, I enjoy autobiographies and memoirs. My friendships are precious to me and any free time I have is spent hanging out with them!
