Project Description

Currently the facilities management group at Emory University Hospital Midtown is attempting to balance technician work load and work order completion. Technicians divide time between on-demand calls, preventative maintenance, and administrative tasks. There exists industry standards such as time to repair, cost to repair, preventative maintenance frequencies, and existing shift schedules that should be taken into consideration to optimize work flow and balancing.

Completion of this project should enable a detailed look into technician work load and scheduling. This should help justify redistribution of labor, supporting arguments for manpower planning adjustments, and improved work order completion.
