(Alegna™) is a One-Stop-Shop for Smart Building, 4.0 manufacturing automation and remote early warning predictive maintenance using an IoT Early Warning System and Artificial Intelligence (AI), over eighty (80+) different types of American made, plug-n-play smart sensors (i.e. CO2, monoxide, air quality, HVAC, temperature/refrigeration, moisture, humidity, water leaks, open/close doors/windows and more), hardware, software and turnkey services, including remote text, email and/or call alerts.Alegna’s Smart Solutions are easy to implement, avoids and/or reduces equipment downtime. Increase efficiency that includes an electronic audit trail reports from data collected, in real-time, accessible 24/7 for performance and accountability verification.
Energy improvement is accomplished with remote Early warning alerts that result in a direct reduction in school energy costs, improvements to the envelope, air conditioning system, ventilation system, heating system, and more!
Alegna’s holistic Innovative approach and Autonomous Controls increase predictive maintenance and energy efficiency management capabilities and code compliance. Alegna’s easy to use Remote -Early Warning Advanced Monitoring System uses a single secured cloud platform (i.e. AWS and military level security) to manage a Multi-Functional Wireless Sensor Network that can control multiple parameters and buildings.
Project Description
Alegna Technologies, a leading smart sensor provider, stands to gain immensely from a personalized E-commerce platform. The platform aims to seamlessly connect Alegna with potential clients, streamline Alegna-specific sales processes, and reduce Alegna’s reliance on third-party services.Our understanding is that the diversity of products, in various industries, that Alegna offers is supported by complex offline processes. These processes can be unified with the deployment of E-commerce platform, offering a single point of entry for customers and employees, supplies the sales team to more accurately collect and compare data from different revenue streams, roll out changes to sales services almost instantly company-wide, and significantly reduce the need for, and profit loss from, third party service reliance.
Additionally, having an internet sales platform is necessary to stay competitive in todays digitized world. The platform has the potential to rapidly increase the reach of Alegna from already established customers to new customers across the globe. Effectively expanding their market base and providing an avenue for rapid growth of the company. In addition to expanding their market base, by controlling the whole sales process of what all customers see, Alegna Technologies gains the opportunity to achieve a greater degree of control over their brand image.
In summary, this E-commerce platform represents a great opportunity for Alegna Technologies to expand their reach and stay competitive in the smart sensor sales service, freeing up resources to be used in developing other aspects of their business. And thus: For Alegna Technologies and its customers, an E-commerce platform will increase the sales and service business between them by securing, simplifying, and digitizing their current sales process.

Users
The basic functionality of a dual-sided platform for Alegna means there are two groups of primary users: the Internal sales team at Alegna and external clients. The nature of an internet platform as a dual-sided platform requires at least two user-specific interfaces and functionalities. The customers’ experiences versus Alegna personnels’ experiences will differ greatly. Recognizing this, we must keep the unique needs of both sides in mind when creating an innovative dual-sided E-commerce platform that truly benefits Alegna across the board.
Alegna Technologies-
Internal Users from Alegna need accurate and easy to operate data collection tools, bookkeeping, and a utilitarian approach to listing goods for sale online. Sales teams will be the primary users from this side who, with minimal training, need to effectively utilize the platform daily. These individuals need a service that reduces overhead and remains reliable through heavy use. As a bonus, the service should eliminate unnecessary dependency from third party services; increasing profit margins and decreasing risk.
External Customers -
External Customers, being a diverse group, have more varied needs. All customers need methods to browse and securely purchase products that meet their specifications. However, customers in different industries may go about performing these tasks differently, so we must keep this in mind when designing the platform. Also, we need to keep in mind that the external customers will likely outnumber the internal users, and we will thus need to prepare our website for lopsided loads accordingly. Another aspect to keep in mind about the external customers is that new users unfamiliar with the platform will need to be able to seamlessly navigate and operate the service. Thus, the customer facing side needs to be simple and easy to use by customers browsing for the first time and existing customers who are used to a different system. In addition, future longer-term customers would expect ways to manage repeated buys, subscription plans, and easy access to product customer support.
Both Sides -
Both sides of this platform have common needs. These include security of interactions and transactions. Transactions need to be private and strong external/internal product tracking/management must exist so that no product loss results from improperly managed inventory.

Constraints:
Constraints we deem to be the most restrictive include protecting the security and privacy of transactions, integration and deployment into the existing system product management system, and user training/capabilities. Firstly, we need a way to ensure that orders are accurately tracked and paid for, and that this information is privy to only the sales team, while unauthorized users are incapable of accessing this confidential information. Customer information in would need to be encrypted and stored in a standard industry practice that would be extremely unlikely to be compromised. This might be difficult for us to secure payment, so we may be forced into a third-party service that can guarantee the current and future security of the payment system. Managing different user roles and permissions would also be important to keep in mind.
Integration and Scalability would both be concerns that affect the actual foundation of how we build our project. Making sure that we use platforms and code that can coexist and interact with existing company services is vital. Additionally, we would need to be sure that this integration as well as the platform itself is suitably scalable for the size of the market that Alegna Technologies is expecting to service. In our situation, where Alegna Technologies is expected to sell their product through the platform, coordination with inventory management software is critical to ensuring that products are shipped to where they are ordered.
