Focus Brands, through its affiliate brands, is the franchisor and operator of more than 6,300 restaurants, cafes, ice cream shoppes and bakeries in the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and more than 60 foreign countries under the brand names Auntie Anne's , Carvel , Cinnabon , Jamba , Moe's Southwest Grill , McAlister's Deli and Schlotzsky's , as well as Seattle's Best Coffee on certain military bases and in certain international markets.

Project Description

This an optimization project at its core. You will learn a lot about supply chain and foodservice. The foodservice industry is ripe for disruption and there will be countless jobs for top-level talent. This will get you ready for the interviews! Primary objective: Focus Brands wants to level-up how we manage supply and demand across our global supply chain in order minimize out of stock situations at the restaurant-level. We manage thousands of items from hundreds of suppliers and distribution centers. The scope of this project is to build a working digital twin of our supply chain from our suppliers to our distributors and ultimately our restaurants. Once this is complete, you will develop models to support forecasting and supply planning - then, test those models and make recommendations to executive leadership on which models to use to manage our supply chain. Secondary Objective: Apply cost to the optimization model and recommend cost savings opportunities. Tertiary Objective: Applying machine learning to the model. Focus Brands manages close to $3 billion in sales and approximately $1 billion in goods.
