Stitch Fix

Client Profile

Stitch Fix is the personal style service for men and women that evolves with clients' tastes, needs and lifestyle. Our fulfillment center in Lithia Springs, GA is the largest of our 7 fulfillment centers across the US and UK. The facility is about 1 million square feet and employees about 700 people.

Project Description

The Lithia Springs warehouse is a five-day a week operation that fulfills orders for customers. These orders must be picked and staged before going through our packing and quality control process. Our picked orders can be either a fix (5 items chosen for a customer and ~80% of pick volume), direct order (new to our business, 1-10 items chosen by customer, and ~15% of pick volume), or non-apparel (our initial bulk picking process for items such as shoes or jewelry and ~5% of pick volume). Due to the emergence of multiple order types, we are looking for a proposal to implement one standard, modular picking cart for all three order types across all of our fulfillment centers. Key results: - Standard, modular picking cart able to fulfill all order picking types - Improve employee ergonomic experience with picking cart - Increase picking quality - Reduce the direct labor costs to fulfill customer orders
