About
Beth Quay is a first year Ph.D. student in Industrial and Systems Engineering and is a Renewable Bioproducts Institute (RBI) Fellow. Her research focuses on data uncertainty in environmental life cycle assessment (LCA) studies.
After receiving her Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech, she spent 12 of her 21 years with The Coca-Cola Company in energy, package recycling, and environmental issues. During the following 8 years she co-owned and operated an environmentally responsible Mercedes-Benz auto dismantling business. She has just completed 19 years with Compass Group USA, during which she completed her M.S. Analytics from Georgia Tech. And for the last 15 years she has also owned and operated a beef cattle farm.
While with The Coca-Cola Company Beth began work in LCA studies and was involved in LCA foundational conferences such as the SETAC workshops in Smuggler's Notch, VT, and Sesimbra, Portugal. Having now been involved with LCA for 40+ years, she is an experienced peer reviewer who has participated in over 35 LCA peer reviews and chaired 30 of the panels.
