Bobak McCann is a Ph.D. student in Operations Research at the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial & Systems Engineering, Georgia Tech, where he is a recipient of the Stewart Fellowship. He earned his B.S. in Mathematics from UMBC, where he received the Freeman Hrabowski Excellence in Mathematics Award.
His research focuses on enhancing the security and resilience of large-scale systems against uncertainties, strategic attacks, and natural disasters. His work in network inspection was a finalist for the Best Paper Award at the 2022 HICSS-55 Conference. Prior to starting his Ph.D., he worked as an applied mathematician at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory.
