Jorge Garcia Zamalloa is a Ph.D. student in Industrial Engineering at the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology. He received his bachelor's degree in Industrial and Commercial Engineering from ESAN University in Peru, where he was the recipient of the Alan B. Coleman award.

As a Graduate Research Assistant at the Physical Internet Center, he works on enhancing the sustainability and efficiency of supply chains through improved returnable transportation flows and the optimization of factory workstation layouts using virtual reality.
