About

Neelkamal Bhuyan is a Machine Learning Ph.D. student advised by Dr. Debankur Mukherjee. He is working on Sequential Decision Making with Movement Costs in Stochastic and Adversarial Environments. He is the recipient of the Shabbir Ahmed Research Excellence Award in Optimization, the Alice & John Jarvis Best Paper Award (Honorable Mention), the Georgia Tech Algorithms & Randomness Center PhD Fellowship, the Thomas H. Johnson Fellowship and the Stewart Topper Fellowship. 

Alongside ISyE, he has academic collaboration with CalTech (Dr. Adam Wierman) and industry collaborations with Nokia Bell Labs (Dr. Murali Kodialam, Dr. Randeep Bhatia, Dr. TV Lakshman). He completed his Bachelor of Technology (with Honors) in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 2022.
