About

Paul Horton is a first year PhD Machine Learning student in the college of ISYE at Georgia Tech. He grew up in Birmingham, Al and attended Auburn University on a full academic scholarship while studying chemical engineering. Upon graduating, he moved to Columbia, SC and worked for several years in manufacturing and operations while enrolled in a professional MBA program at the University of South Carolina. After spending two years in Seattle, he decided to return to school and completed the Masters in Analytics program at Georgia Tech. He stayed in Atlanta to spend one year applying what he learned from the MSA program in industry before returning to school again for the PhD program. He is married with a daughter, a dog, and a cat. He and and his family live in the Southwest part of Atlanta in a neighborhood called Venetian Hills.
