Teaching

Dr. Li has taught a variety of supply chain management and business/economics courses since January 2005.  She believes that an instructor can influence students not only through their domain knowledge but also their way of thinking.  While delivering course-specific content, she adopts the active-learning format and strives to incorporate critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.  While domain knowledge evolves over time, the ability to think critically and the skills essential to problem-solving are always needed for one’s career and personal development.  With audience-based course designs, Dr. Li encourages and responds timely to questions and comments from students within or outside the classrooms.  She hopes to create a welcoming learning environment in which students’ voices are heard and their ideas are valued.

In addition to classroom teaching, Dr. Li has been involved in ISyE capstone senior design course since January 2024. Through several roles: advisor, examiner, and co-coordinator at various times, she advises or provides feedback to senior design projects, facilitating students' learning & growth when they develop solutions to meet the clients' needs.
