About

Yongchun Li is a Ph.D. candidate in Operations Research at the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering. Her research interests lie at the intersection of optimization, machine learning, and statistics, aiming to make machine learning more interpretable, efficient, fair, and robust. Her research develops new optimization theory and algorithms and leverages them to improve power systems, solar flare detection, 3D printing, and healthcare. Her research has received several recognitions, including the 2023 Georgia Tech ARC-ACO Fellowship, Runner-up of the 2021 INFORMS Computing Society Student Paper Award, Winner of the 2020 INFORMS Data Mining Section Student Paper Award, Winner of the Poster Competition at the 2019 Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) Workshop, and Finalist of the 2021, 2023 IISE Data Analytics & Information Systems Division Student Paper Award.
